AND AFTER IT RAINS THERE'S A RAINBOW

That's about the only good thing the rain brought to Hillwood last weekend.
It's been raining relentlessly since Saturday morning, and finally stopped just short of sunset tonight, just long enough for a rainbow to appear; then disappear in another downpour.

We had turned on the hot tub/spa Saturday afternoon, hoping that it would (a) work,  and (b) stop raining. Well,  I guess we can't complain too much since it actually worked; but it was raining too hard to go out and use it.

I didn't just sit around wishin' and hopin' and waitin' for the rain to stop, I had more important business to attend to; like wonderin' why the CatGenie litter box wasn't workin'?

Now usually when it comes to electric or technical problems I just hand them off to my husband and I don't have to give it a second thought.
This time I knew I would have to at least try to troubleshoot it myself. The stackable washer/dryer is pulled out from the wall, (the only 220w power source  access) until the floors are cleaned and polished.
I can barely even get into this closet;having to do contortions every time I do a load of laundry.
There is no way my husband would ever fit in, let alone take apart this cat toilet!

Anyway, after  one complete dismantling, two glasses of wine, several hours, and multiple curse words later; I amazingly got it back up and running!
I'm sure all the time I saved not having to scoop litter from a regular litterbox for the past 4 1/2 months, was blown in the time it took me to understand the complicated instructions in the manuel.
This GatGenie is a feat of engineering, that's for sure, and when it works it's worth every cent and more.
If only it could also grant me three wishes.
( T,  I know you will get a laugh picturing me cleaning the litterbox in this getup.  They've  become my latest obsession.)

Thanks AD and Hostess.

I haven't had much to blog about, I've been so busy with the new business, and getting ready for my trip to China.
I'm going with my son's grandparents, who are Chinese and really wanted my son and I to go with them; as it may be their final trip back.
My son declined but one of his aunts decided to come along to celebrate her 50th birthday.

Are you still heading to NYC? I've sent you a couple of emails but not heard back (is your email down again? or?)....let me know "the plan"!

Thanks Catherine, and JA!
Michael I have been running around trying to get everything together.
You know I had something splashed on my Himalayan Birkin at that restaurant, last night, and I have to get it to Madison tomorrow.
The pilots are taking it in for me, so you can either meet them there at 11am or meet them at the airport.

Sorry I've been MIA.

I sent you an email too.
