FAMILY ROOM FIREPLACE

I have be so neglectful of taking pictures and posting progress reports. We managed to get away to Florida for a few weeks, and I've just been too busy with family commitments and various appointments.

The family room fireplace was being installed and the granite slabs are very large.
The granite surround is Brown Eyes, and Nero Assoluto. Nero Assoluto is often incorrectly called Nero Absoluto, I guess because it sounds better.
I had wanted to use the Quartzite, Night Sparkle; but it wasn't recommended for a wood burning fireplace.

There are still large slabs to install all the way to the ceiling. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Just adding a few pictures of the last granite slab. There are still more details to complete; but the major work is done!
